My Journey in Clinical Nutrition, Healing, Research & Impact
Growing up in rural Bangladesh, I witnessed how poor nutrition silently eroded health and livelihoods—an experience that inspired me to pursue B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in Food & Nutrition from the University of Dhaka with distinction. My early work in community clinics and hospitals taught me to translate science into culturally grounded, affordable care. In 2019, I was appointed Chief Dietician at Apollo Imperial Hospitals, Chattogram, where I built a full nutrition department from the ground up. Since then, I’ve provided therapeutic support to over 200 critically ill patients, counselled 4,000+ clients, mentored future dietitians, and represented Bangladesh at global platforms like IDACON and ICNU.

B.Sc. (Hons) & M.S. in Food & Nutrition, University of Dhaka—graduated with distinction and a drive to link biochemistry to community health.
Diet Counseling Center, Asgar Ali Hospital & Abdul Malek Prodhan Hospital—shaped therapeutic diets and led nutrition workshops across Chattogram.
Chief Dietician, Apollo Imperial Hospitals—guiding 4 000 + clients, treating 200 + critical-care cases and presenting Bangladesh’s first diet-cancer studies on global stages.

Mission & Values
Growing up in rural Bangladesh, I witnessed how poor nutrition silently eroded health and livelihoods—an experience that inspired me to pursue B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in Food & Nutrition from the University of Dhaka .
“My Bangladeshi heritage and Islamic faith shape how I nourish others—viewing food as an amānah (trust) and wellness as rahmah (mercy). I advocate for halal-conscious, community-respecting nutrition that heals body and soul.”

Every program blends evidence, empathy and Bangladesh’s traditions—honoring faith, culture and science to fuel lifelong health.
Nutrition Academy
Empowering health through education and guided nutrition.
With over a decade of experience in clinical nutrition, public health, and therapeutic meal planning, I founded the Nutrition Academy to extend my mission beyond hospital walls. As Chief Dietician at Apollo Imperial Hospitals, I’ve delivered care to 200+ critically ill patients and counselled more than 4,000 families. But I knew real change required building capacity—so I created this Academy to mentor, train, and inspire the next generation of nutrition advocates.
This initiative blends research-backed knowledge with practical, culturally relevant guidance. Through live Zoom-based sessions, I’ve taught 15+ postgraduate courses, empowering 150+ dietitians to deliver evidence-based care across Bangladesh. I’ve also led 50+ corporate wellness seminars for brands like Unilever and Nestlé, reaching over 200,000 participants with strategies for sustainable food choices and disease prevention
Week-by-Week Structure
We begin by laying a common foundation: what “good nutrition” really means, why evidence matters, and how cultural context shapes eating habits. You’ll build a baseline vocabulary that supports every later module.
Understand the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs) and energy balance principles
Identify credible vs. misleading nutrition information in media
Perform a simple 24-hour dietary recall on yourself for practice
This week dives into the nutrients themselves—carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals—linking biochemical roles to food-based sources you can find in Bangladeshi markets.
Calculate individual macro ratios for weight maintenance or disease states
Recognise signs of common vitamin/mineral deficiencies
Map local foods (rice, lentils, leafy greens, fish) to their nutrient profiles
Here we translate theory into clinical practice, exploring how targeted diet plans improve outcomes for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal issues, and cancer care.
Design a low-glycaemic menu for type-2 diabetes
Apply DASH principles to hypertension meal plans
Adapt protein, potassium, and phosphorus for chronic kidney disease
Review emerging evidence on nutrition during chemotherapy
Turning knowledge into action, you’ll craft cost-conscious, culturally relevant menus, practise portion sizing, and receive feedback through a live cooking or plating demo.
Use plate-model visuals for balanced meals at different calorie levels
Convert household measures to gram weights for accurate tracking
Modify family recipes to lower fat, salt, and added sugar
Complete a graded meal-plan assignment and peer critique
The final week zooms out from the individual to the community. We cover public-health nutrition programs, behaviour-change communication, and wrap up with a comprehensive assessment.
Outline a school-lunch or workplace-wellness initiative
Craft a culturally sensitive nutrition-education flyer or WhatsApp message
Sit for the final quiz and present a short capstone project
Receive personalised feedback and an e-certificate of completion
